Blueberry & Coconut Dog Biscuits

Blueberries are little antioxidant powerhouses, and a touch of coconut adds healthy richness. These lightly sweet biscuits are as good for your dog as they are tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups oat flour
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly mash the blueberries; mix with egg and coconut.
  3. Add flour and water to form a dough.
  4. Roll, cut, and place on a lined tray.
  5. Bake 20–22 minutes; cool before serving.

🩺 Vet-informed safety note

Blueberries are a superfood for dogs and safe in moderation. Use unsweetened coconut only, and keep portions small as coconut is high in fat. Always avoid these in any dog treat: xylitol (a sweetener often in peanut butter), chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, and excess salt or sugar. Treats should make up no more than about 10% of your dog’s daily calories. If your dog has allergies, a sensitive stomach, or a health condition, check with your veterinarian first.

Storage

Store cooled biscuits in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months. Always let treats cool fully before serving.
