Pumpkin & Cinnamon Dog Biscuits

Pumpkin is a digestion superstar for dogs, and paired with a whisper of cinnamon it makes a cozy, fiber-rich biscuit. These are gentle on tummies and smell amazing baking in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pure canned pumpkin (not pie filling)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 1/2 cups oat flour
  • 1/4 cup water if needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C); line a tray with parchment.
  2. Mix pumpkin, cinnamon and egg until smooth.
  3. Stir in flour gradually until a firm dough forms.
  4. Roll to 1/4 inch and cut into shapes.
  5. Bake 20–25 minutes until firm. Cool fully before serving.

🩺 Vet-informed safety note

Use 100%% pure pumpkin, never pumpkin pie filling (which contains spices and sugar). A little cinnamon is fine, but never use nutmeg, which is toxic to dogs. Always avoid these in any dog treat: xylitol (a sweetener often in peanut butter), chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, and excess salt or sugar. Treats should make up no more than about 10% of your dog’s daily calories. If your dog has allergies, a sensitive stomach, or a health condition, check with your veterinarian first.

Storage

Store cooled biscuits in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months. Always let treats cool fully before serving.
