Parmesan Cheese Dog Biscuits

Parmesan Cheese Dog Biscuits

Few smells get a dog to the kitchen faster than baking cheese. These crunchy parmesan biscuits make a high-value reward for training or just for being a good boy.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups whole-wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix parmesan, egg and water.
  3. Add flour to form a stiff dough.
  4. Roll thin and cut into small pieces.
  5. Bake 18–20 minutes until crisp; cool fully.

🩺 Vet-informed safety note

Parmesan is flavorful but salty, so keep these biscuits small and occasional. Skip cheese treats entirely for dogs that are lactose-intolerant or on low-sodium diets. Always avoid these in any dog treat: xylitol (a sweetener often in peanut butter), chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, and excess salt or sugar. Treats should make up no more than about 10% of your dog’s daily calories. If your dog has allergies, a sensitive stomach, or a health condition, check with your veterinarian first.

Storage

Store cooled biscuits in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months. Always let treats cool fully before serving.
