Carrot and peanut butter make a crunchy, protein-packed biscuit dogs adore. Naturally sweet and full of fiber, these are a wholesome everyday favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup xylitol-free peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups whole-wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix carrot, peanut butter and egg.
  3. Add flour to form a dough.
  4. Roll, cut, and arrange on a lined tray.
  5. Bake 20–22 minutes; cool fully.

🩺 Vet-informed safety note

As with any peanut butter recipe, confirm your peanut butter is xylitol-free — xylitol is extremely dangerous for dogs. Carrots are a safe, crunchy, low-calorie favorite. Always avoid these in any dog treat: xylitol (a sweetener often in peanut butter), chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, and excess salt or sugar. Treats should make up no more than about 10% of your dog’s daily calories. If your dog has allergies, a sensitive stomach, or a health condition, check with your veterinarian first.

Storage

Store cooled biscuits in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months. Always let treats cool fully before serving.
