A moist, one-layer birthday cake of carrot, apple and peanut butter — frosted with plain yogurt for a celebration your pup will never forget.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup grated apple cored, no seeds
  • 1/4 cup xylitol-free peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup plain unsweetened yogurt for frosting

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C); grease a small round pan.
  2. Mix oat flour, carrot, apple, peanut butter and eggs into a batter.
  3. Pour into the pan and bake 35 minutes until a pick comes out clean.
  4. Cool completely, then spread with plain yogurt.
  5. Slice and serve a small portion as an occasional treat.

Notes

Make-ahead: bake the cake a day before and frost just before serving.
