Carob looks and smells like chocolate but is completely safe for dogs — perfect for a Gotcha Day that feels indulgent without the danger.

Gotcha Day Carob Cookies
Celebrate adoption day with chocolatey-looking carob cookies that are 100% dog-safe (carob is not chocolate!).
Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C); line a sheet.
- Combine oat flour and carob powder.
- Mix in peanut butter, egg and enough water to form a dough.
- Scoop small cookies onto the sheet and flatten slightly.
- Bake 18 minutes; cool completely.
Notes
Carob powder is sold in most health-food aisles — never substitute cocoa or chocolate.
🐾 Vet-informed safety note. Carob is a safe, caffeine- and theobromine-free alternative to chocolate (which is toxic to dogs). Use xylitol-free peanut butter.
